Here you can access the resources you'll need as you work with InHealth and share this exciting new option with your clients. This is your portal to connect to Ebix to create quotes, access your broker agreement and download sales collateral and more.

We encourage all members to address their immediate concerns with their health care providers and our customer service teams as needed. We understand, however, that members may choose to engage you on their behalf.

Should you require additional assistance from InHealth staff, including our Sales Team, we must ensure that your client’s personal information, including identification and health status, remains confidential.

In accordance with section E paragraph 7 of the Producer Agreement, all emails that contain Personal Health Information (PHI) must be encrypted. In order to further protect you as an appointed broker, we have developed a number of secure channels for you to communicate with us on your client’s behalf. These include:

  • Phone
  • Fax (insert number)
  • Encrypted emails from you to our team
  • Encrypted emails from our team to you

Now we are excited to announce “Broker Secure Messaging” a new secure portal on our website that will allow you to share important details with us per your clients’ request. This will assist us to better address your clients’ needs or to advocate on their behalf with our vendors as appropriate and needed. Most importantly, this will ensure that you remain in compliance with our producer agreement and avoid unintended consequences including, but not limited to HIPAA violations and fines

Broker Appointment

Appointment procedures are driven by state law:

  • Agencies/producers must be appointed within thrity (30) days of signing an agreement or submitting an application.
  • If the agency/producer is not appointed at quotation, appointment paperwork must be received within three (3) business days.
  • Appointment is necessary regardless of whether or not the application results in a sale.

Producer Appointment Instructions and Documentation

  1. The Producer Agreement is the contract between the producer or agency and InHealth Mutual. This Agreement outlines the responsibilities of each party. The complete Agreement must be submitted.
  2. The W-9 supplies InHealth Mutual with the correct tax payer identification number and address for the producer/agency. All information is required except optional fields.
  3. Ohio License:
    • If Appointment is for an Independent Producer:
      Provide a copy of your Ohio license.
      If you are a non-resident selling in Ohio, provide a copy of your home state license too.
    • If Appointment is for an agency and it's Licensed Employees:
      Provide a copy of the agency's Ohio license and a copy of each producing employee's Ohio license.
      If there are non-residents selling in Ohio, provide a copy of their home state license, too.
  4. Errors and Omissions Insurance: All Appointed Producers are required to maintain E & O Insurance. Please provide a copy of the cover page of your E & O Insurance.
